Sea turtles are a small part of the marine ecosystem but also a typical example of the impact of human behavior on the environment. After all, biodiversity is closely linked to the sustainability but also to climate change as oceans, wetlands and forests can block about half of the anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions that are mainly responsible for the thermal effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During our tour of the Sea Turtle Rescue Center we were introduced to the species of sea turtles that exist in the Mediterranean Sea,&nbsp;observed the external reintegration tanks and the turtles hosted there, vistited the treatment tanks, observed the sea turtles, listened to their stories and saw the impact that human activity has on marine life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the tour we played togather a Live Quizizz entitled \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/quizizz.com\/admin\/quiz\/6082f5c0404c00001fa14503\/human-intervention-in-the-mediterranean-marine-ecosystem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Human intervention in the Mediterranean marine ecosystem<\/a>\u00ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The live event ended with a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jamboard.google.com\/d\/1hs3frHFA-uJj1LqNeOHemhzIXyDDVuR1kUq8L466LHU\/viewer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jamboard<\/a>&nbsp;were students wrote their thoughts, feelings and suggestions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"711\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/erasmusplus.iespablopicasso.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ceab84b12_opt.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-72\" srcset=\"https:\/\/erasmusplus.iespablopicasso.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ceab84b12_opt.jpg 711w, https:\/\/erasmusplus.iespablopicasso.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ceab84b12_opt-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 711px) 100vw, 711px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Vassilios Stavridis, a teacher at GEL Paralia, wrote an article about the event in which he points out the connection between biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability.
